MY STORY

Domagoj Barić (b. June 19, 1988, Rijeka) is a Croatian visual artist specializing in painting and photography. He completed his secondary education at the School of Applied Arts in Rijeka and went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, graduating in 2012 under the mentorship of Professor Zoltan Novak.

Barić has worked as an external associate and assistant at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rijeka. His artistic contributions include collaborative mural work at the Shree Peetha Nilaya ashram in Germany and the Stations of the Cross in Mali Lošinj.

He is currently active at the "Skani" Creative Center and teaches at the School of Applied Arts in Rijeka. In 2023, he served as curator and co-organizer of the inaugural Opatija Art Biennale.

From 2014 to 2016, he was a member of “Kiwi – Creative Space.” A dedicated member of HDLU Rijeka, Barić has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, artist residencies, and workshops, including notable events such as Ernestinovo, the 49th ZILIK, and Art Circle.

In 2024, he signed with MONAT Gallery (Madrid), leading to exhibitions in Madrid, Paris, and New York.
